SpaceWorks Commercial advances innovative ideas, solutions, and partnerships aimed at maturing near and far term commercial and international space ventures.
SpaceWorks Commercial also leverages personnel from our sister divisions within SpaceWorks Engineering, Inc. (SEI), such as the Engineering Economics Group (EEG), to provide additional analysis capabilities such as technical analysis, cost analysis, safety analysis, operational assessments, and visualization.
SpaceWorks Commercial and its associated and affiliated consultants possess engineering experience, market survey/forecasting experience, and quantitative modeling skills to help clients with the following needs:
- Strategic insight into global space industry
- Emerging space business design and strategy formulation
- Future venture due diligence
- Market forecasting for emerging space markets (private commercial spaceflight, space solar power, etc.)
- Space industry ROI analysis using advanced modeling including agent-based and probabilistic simulation techniques
- Options associated with incorporating new technologies into space products and services
- Space concept technical analysis and design through other SpaceWorks divisions
- Marketing and branding services (including media material) through Space Media Group of SpaceWorks Engineering
SpaceWorks Commercial has two types of projects it works on:
Type I: SpaceWorks Commercial works with entrepreneurial, privately financed companies, either to enhance existing or to facilitate new business opportunities. SpaceWorks Commercial provides both consulting services and advocacy services to help bring space projects to maturation.
SpaceWorks Commercial offers a set of pre-packaged engineering and business services known as FutureAssist Solutions. FutureAssist Solutions represent the types of services typically needed by aerospace inventors, entrepreneurs, and technologists. SpaceWorks Commercial has generated an easy to understand set of services, for those at various stages of idea development. The FutureAssist Solutions from SpaceWorks Commercial are designed to leverage the full multidisciplinary capabilities of the firm to create a compelling story for a client’s aerospace idea or invention, accelerating it from a unique vision to feasible reality. Type II: One of the goals of the Commercial Division is to champion its own new ventures in aerospace. After pragmatic due diligence and careful review, SpaceWorks Commercial is looking forward to announcing the creation of new space companies to service terrestrial and space markets. SpaceWorks Commercial seeks to take these companies from idea to birth and eventually spin them off under future management teams. SpaceWorks Commercial looks to leverage internal and external resources to develop the business plan, initial management teams, and coordinate financial resources to give these new firms a successful start at an enterprising life.
