FULL-TIME POSITIONS:
- Director, Engineering Economics Group (EEG) [ID: EEG-D]
SpaceWorks Engineering's Engineering Economics Group is seeking a new group Director to both manage the EEG and to personally contribute to the technical cost analyses conducted by the organization. The EEG currently consists of three technical employees with unique skills that cross traditional engineering analysis with economic strategic analysis. The EEG conducts aerospace system reliability analysis, modeling and simulation of ground operations of flight systems, uncertainty analysis, statistical analysis of technology impact data, and parametric cost analysis for a variety of space-oriented government and commercial clients. The successful applicant for the Director position will not only be capable of managing the breadth of EEG technical activities as group leader, but will also have a particular skill in cost estimation related to future space systems. Toward that goal, familiarity with parametric cost estimating tools commonly used in the industry such as NAFCOM, SEER, and PRICE is required. The ideal candidate should hold at least a M.S. degree in a related technical field and will have at least 10 years of relevant experience working in the advanced space systems industry. Candidates with additional academic credentials such as an MBA or PhD will be given preference. U.S. citizenship is required for this position. To apply, send a cover letter and a current resume to: jobs@sei.aero. Please reference position ID "EEG-D". - Project Engineer, Advanced Concepts Group (ACG) [ID: ACG-1]
SpaceWorks Engineering's Advanced Concepts Group is seeking a Project Engineer with 3 - 8 years of experience working in advanced space concept analysis and space transportation system design. Candidates should hold a B.S. degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field. However, preference will be given to candidates holding a Master of Science or a PhD degree in a related technical field. Desirable technical skills include vehicle performance analysis, trajectory optimization, orbital mechanics analysis, thermal analysis, structural analysis/finite element analysis, and/or aerodynamics (including experience with CFD). Project Engineers in the ACG must be capable of leading and managing multidisciplinary aerospace design projects for SEI's diverse set of government and commercial clients. Requirements include not only strong technical analyses in one of the ACG's core specialities, but the abilities to serve as a customer interface, to manage project resources and schedules, and to execute an overall study activity from beginning to end. U.S. citizenship is required for this position. To apply, send a cover letter and a current resume to: jobs@sei.aero. Please reference position ID "ACG-1".
Exceptionally qualified applicants may submit their resumes at any time for consideration (i.e. without responding to a particular position opening). For more information contact: jobs@sei.aero. Please also check our other divisions (SpaceWorks Commercial, SpaceWorks Software) for employment opportunities.
