Dr. John R. Olds, P.E.
Chief Executive Officer
SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc.
Dr. John Olds is the founder of SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI) and currently serves as the corporation’s Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Dr. Olds is responsible for the strategic growth and overall management of the company as well as establishing an integrating vision for the company’s various operating divisions and technical activities. He also has ongoing technical roles within the company and holds a joint title as one of the firm’s Principal Engineers.
Dr. Olds has over 20 years of experience in the aerospace sector, including positions in private consulting, large aerospace industry, academia, and small business. From 1995 – 2006, Dr. Olds served as a professor in the School of Aerospace Engineering at Georgia Tech and a director of the school’s Space Systems Design Lab. Prior to that, he was employed as an aerospace engineer with General Dynamics’ Space Systems Division and later served as a Visiting Assistant Professor with N. C. State University’s Mars Mission Research Center.
Ms. Melinda S. Olds
Chief Financial Officer
SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc.
Ms. Melinda Olds is co-founder of SpaceWorks Enterprises Inc. and currently serves as the firm's part-time Chief Financial Officer. As CFO, she is responsible for many of the financial and business operations of the company including management of payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable. Ms. Olds oversees the company's employee benefits programs. She is also responsible for the purchase of SEI's capital equipment. Ms. Olds has been employed by SEI since 2000 and continues to be one of the firm's Directors and major stockholders.
Ms. Olds’ academic background lies in teaching and education, and she holds a B.A. degree in education from Converse College in South Carolina. Prior to co-founding SEI, she held teaching positions in Hampton, VA, Raleigh, NC, and Huntsville, AL. Ms. Olds is a native of Spartanburg, SC.
Dr. John E. Bradford
President
SpaceWorks Engineering
Dr. John E. Bradford is President of SpaceWorks Engineering, a division of SEI. As President, Dr. Bradford oversees the day-to-day operations of the office, manages the engineering staff and task assignments, performs bid and proposal work for new efforts, and is the primary interface for all business with the Department of Defense.
Upon joining the firm in 2001, he held the title of Director of Hypersonics. In 2004, he was named President of the Engineering Division. Prior to joining SEI, Dr. Bradford had prior work experience at GenCorp Aerojet in Sacramento, CA and NASA Marshall Space Flight Center. His technical area of expertise is in advanced propulsion systems for space access.
Mr. Dominic DePasquale
Director of Washington D.C. Operations
SpaceWorks Engineering
Mr. DePasquale serves a diverse role for SEI, overseeing the operations of the Washington, DC office, performing project management, and developing new partnerships and entrepreneurial ventures. He is the firm's focal point for emerging commercial space markets, small satellites, and international projects.
Mr. DePasquale's responsibilities also include engineering support to commercial and government clients in the areas of space systems concept development and program metrics assessment (cost, risk, reliability, safety, operations). He holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Aerospace Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration.
Mr. Jon Wallace
President
SpaceWorks Software
Mr. Jon G. Wallace is President of SpaceWorks Software, a division of SpaceWorks Enterprises, Inc. (SEI). In this role he is responsible for daily operations, direction of new development, marketing, and sales activities.
Prior to joining SpaceWorks Software, Mr. Wallace was a Senior Project Engineer with the Engineering Division of SEI. Here he oversaw SEI’s systems engineering support for the Air Force Research Laboratory, performed technical modeling and analysis for various NASA field centers, and supported SEI’s bid and proposal efforts.
